About the Information Center

Read about the conventions and change history used for the Information Center.

This Information Center is for installers, administrators, and users of IBM^® Lotus™ ActiveInsight. Lotus ActiveInsight provides a comprehensive solution for your business. The information in this Information Center is designed to help you install and customize your solution.

Administrators should have experience supporting Web servers. In addition, installers and administrators should have skills in general networking.

Conventions

The following are some conventions that can help you interpret the information that is provided in this Information Center:

Information that is pertinent to installations on IBM WebSphere^® Portal Express Beta only.
File names and directories appear in Courier font. Commands appear in Bold or Courier font.
Variables are either italicized, enclosed in brackets, or both. For example: http://hostname.yourco.com:portnumber/wps/portal
The following variable is used to indicate the root installation directory: install_root
Directories are shown with forward slashes (/), unless operating-system specific information is provided. On Windows systems, you should use backward slashes (\) when typing at a command line, unless otherwise noted.
Operating-system specific information is provided. For example:
- Windows: install.bat
