Tracking the progress of your business strategy starts with the Scorecard.
You use the Scorecard to create and monitor the progress of objectives that support the business strategy. In addition, you use the Scorecard to define initiatives that support those objectives.

The Scorecard is unique to an employee and can be based on any number of perspectives, such as financial, customer-focused, and learning and growth.
| Who uses the Scorecard | What they can do |
|---|---|
| Executives and business managers | After executives define a business strategy, they create objectives and initiatives to support the strategy. Typically, executives monitor progress on a monthly or quarterly time frame, but executives and business managers can quickly interpret progress with a glance at the Scorecard. If a problem arises, such as a low-performing objective, executives can quickly examine status maps of linked objectives and initiatives to understand what areas need attention. Furthermore, executives can collaborate with other business managers to devise a plan that can get the business strategy back on track. |
| Administrators | An administrator can control what perspectives are available to the user when a user creates an objective. An administrator can change related settings such as those used for the trend calculation or the currency type used in monetary calculations. Additionally, administrators can specify the quarterly start dates for the financial year. |
