There are five types of arithmetic calculations for aggregation:
| Calculation Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Additive | The values of all linked objectives and initiatives are added together and the result is assigned as the value of the target objective or initiative |
| Average | The values of all linked objectives and initiatives are averaged together and the result is assigned as the value of the target objective or initiative |
| Minimum | The minimum value of all linked objectives and initiatives is assigned as the value of the target objective or initiative |
| Maximum | The maximum value of all linked objectives and initiatives is assigned as the value of the target objective or initiative |
| Weighted | The value of a linked objective or initiative is multiplied by its corresponding weighting factor. The resulting values for all linked objectives and initiatives are added together and the result is assigned as the value of the target objective or initiative. |
A typical weighting factor is 100 percent. When the percentage is higher than 100, the actual values count more when rolled up. If the weight is less than 100 percent, the actual values count less when rolled up. For example, a value of 50 percent has a weighting of one half. A value of 200 percent has a double weighting.
