How trend is calculated

Trend is determined by the relationship between the actual values line and a zone line.

The trend indicator inside the status and trend icon is designed to give a quick visual indicator for the trend of an objective or initiative. The trend is represented in four ways:

Trend Description
Uptrend
  • Represented when an actual values line is moving closer to a positive zone line if the actual values line resides in a moderate status zone.
  • Represented when an actual values line is moving closer to a moderate zone line if the actual values line resides in a negative status zone.
Downtrend
  • Represented when an actual values line is moving away from a positive zone line if the actual values line resides in a moderate status zone.
  • Represented when an actual values line is moving away from a moderate zone line if the actual values line resides in a negative status zone.
Flat trend
  • Represented when an actual values line is stable in relation to a positive zone line if the actual values line resides in a moderate status zone.
  • Represented when an actual values line is stable in relation to a moderate zone line if the actual values line resides in a negative status zone.
Insufficient data Signifies that there is not enough actual value data to calculate trend
