Migrating the Search and Browse portlet

The parameter IndexName was replaced by CollectionLocation in WebSphere Portal Express Version 6.0. Therefore, if you migrate from an earlier portal version where the Search and Browse portlet is deployed, only the new parameter works in the current version. To ensure that the Search and Browse portlet works as expected, you need to transfer the value from the old parameter to the new parameter manually.

1. Click Main Menu > Administration > Portlet Management > Portlets.
2. Locate the Search and Browse portlet.
3. Click the Configure icon.
4. Copy the value from the parameter IndexName to the parameter CollectionLocation.
5. Save your changes.
6. Restart the portal for your changes to take effect.
7. Perform this procedure for all instances of the Search and Browse portlet that you deployed in your portal.
