Creating items

At some point when using IBM^® Lotus Web Content Management™ you will be required to create a new item. The basic item creation task is the same for all item-types.

Click New and then select an item-type.
1. Some items will require that you select a related item before the item form is opened. For example, you will need to select an authoring template when creating content items. Select an item and click OK.
The form for the selected item opens in a new tab.
Enter data and select parameters as required in each section of the form.

Entering identification information
Specify identification information for the current item, including the name and title for the item and the list of authors and owners associated with the item. The identification section is common to all item forms.
Selecting a workflow
The workflow section is only visible on item types that have been enabled to use a workflow. Only content items are enabled by default.
Granting users or groups access to an item
Specify the access control settings for the current item to designate which users have access to an item and their level of access. The access section is common to all item forms.
