Using drag and drop to copy and move documents

Copy and move documents within and across places using drag and drop.

Drag and drop documents from one Lotus Quickr place to another, or within a place. You can also use drag and drop to copy documents from a place to your local file system.
  1. Navigate to the place location or folder that contains the document to be moved or copied.
  2. Click on the file you want to copy or move.
  3. Hold down the mouse button and drag the document from one place to another, or to a different folder in the same place, or to a folder on your local system. Whether the document is moved or copied depends on the source and destination location of the document:
    • If you drag and drop a document from one place to another, or from a place to your local system, the document is copied.
    • If you use Windows Explorer to drag and drop a document from one location in a place to another location in the same place, the document is moved.
    • If you use Lotus Sametime to drag and drop a document from one location in a place to another location in the same place, the document is copied.
  4. Release the mouse button when the document is positioned over the destination place or folder.
