The Quickr File Monitor keeps track of document changes in the
monitored folder.
The Quickr File Monitor detects changes that you make to documents
and automatically synchronizes your documents with the place server. The monitor
runs as a system tray icon and is installed in the Startup folder, so it will
automatically launch each time you log in to Windows. You can use the File
Monitor to view the status of your connection and see a list of activities
that have occurred since you connected to the server.
When you installed
the Lotus Quickr connector for Microsoft Windows Explorer, you specified the
local folder where temporary documents are stored. This directory is watched
by the File Monitor for changed documents that need to be synchronized. The
File Monitor also displays pop-up messages as changes are uploaded.
To
monitor the status of your activity while you are connected to a place server:
- If the File Monitor is not already running, click to start
it.
- To view a list of recent upload activities, right-click the File
Monitor icon in the system tray and click Show status. The File Monitor window displays your place connections and the status
of your activity.
- To close the File Monitor, click the X in
the top right corner of the window.
Closing the File Monitor window does not stop the monitor, which continues
to run in the background. To stop the monitor, right-click the File Monitor
icon in the system tray and click Stop Monitor.
