Using connection settings

Modify or remove a connection to an IBM® Lotus Quickr server. Change your login settings, such as user ID and password, for all places on the server. Remove a server connection to remove all places on that server from your places list.

Perform these steps:
  1. Do one of the following:
    • In Microsoft Windows Explorer, right click the Lotus Quickr icon, then click Settings.
    • In IBM Lotus® Sametime®, open the Lotus Quickr pane, and at the bottom of the list click Actions > Connection Settings.
  2. In the Server field, type the domain name for the Lotus Quickr server, for example, http://acme.com. If you have connected to this server before, select the server name from the drop-down list.
  3. In the User ID field, type the user ID you use to log in to this server, if it is not filled in for you.
  4. If you specified a user ID, type the password for that ID. Select Remember this password if you want the password to be provided automatically the next time you connect to the server.
  5. To add places on this server to your places list, perform the following steps:
    1. Click Add.
    2. Verify the server connection information and click Next.
    3. In the displayed list of places, select each place you want to add.
    4. Click Finish.
  6. To remove a place on this server from your places list, select the place in the Connected places from this server list and click Remove. Repeat to remove additional places.
  7. To remove a server connection and all associated places from your places list, click Remove Connection.
  8. Click OK.
