Lotus Quickr, Version 8.0
Services for Lotus Domino and WebSphere Portal

Mailing links to documents

Send e-mail messages that contain links to place documents. You can use this feature with any e-mail application that is MAPI-compliant. You can mail links only to published documents that are checked out by you, or that are not checked out. You cannot mail links to documents checked out by others.

Perform the following steps:
  1. In your places list, open the place that contains the document to which to send the link.
  2. Perform one of the following actions:
    • In Microsoft Windows Explorer, right-click the document and click Send Link.
    • In IBM® Lotus® Sametime®, right-click the document and click Links > Insert Into New EMail Message.
  3. Complete the message by filling in the To, CC and Subject fields in your e-mail application.
Recipients who have installed any Lotus Quickr™ connector and who have access to the document can right-click the link in the message to select an action to perform on the document. Recipients who have not installed a connector see a browser link and a .qkr file attachment.
