Quickr, Version 8.0 Services for Lotus Domino and WebSphere Portal
Managing your places list
Perform a variety of tasks to manage your places list.
Adding places to your places list
You can add a place on an IBM Lotus Quickr server to your places list if you have access to the place. You can use your places list to work with documents in the place.
Viewing and editing place properties
Place properties display server-based information about a place, for example, a title, description, server, last modification time. Place properties also let you control: the location of the local monitored folder that temporarily stores documents downloaded from the server, whether you are prompted to check out documents when you double-click them, and whether your places list displays views to help organize documents.
Using connection settings
Modify or remove a connection to an IBM Lotus Quickr server. Change your login settings, such as user ID and password, for all places on the server. Remove a server connection to remove all places on that server from your places list.
Understanding the views in your places list
If you select the place property Show Views, when you open a place in your places list, you see views through which you can access documents. While folders correspond to named document containers on the server, views are local to your places list and help organize documents, for example, by task you need to perform.
