Lotus Quickr, Version 8.0
Services for Lotus Domino and WebSphere Portal

Setting Lotus Quickr preferences

You can control what IBM® Lotus Quickr does each time you send a mail message that contains an attachment. By default, Lotus Quickr asks whether you want to send an attachment or a link, and where you want the link to point. But you can set preferences so that Lotus Quickr always creates and sends a link, and always to your preferred palce location. Or, if you decide not to use Lotus Quickr place linking, you can return to sending attachment files every time.

Perform the following steps:
  1. Select File > Preferences > Lotus Quickr Preferences.
  2. Perform any or all of the following steps:
    • To always replace attachments in an existing document with links to a specific location, select Do not prompt me to save attachments as links, select Always send links, and then click Browse. Select a place and folder and click Select. Then click OK.
    • To restore prompting, deselect Do not prompt me to save attachments as links, and click OK.
    • To specify a new preferred place location after you already have one and have turned off prompting, select Do not prompt me to save attachments as links so that choices become available. Then click Browse, select a new place and folder, and click Select. Reselect Do not prompt me to save attachments as links, and click OK.
    • To turn off Lotus Quickr place linking and return to saving and sending attachment files, select Do not prompt me to save attachments as links and Always send attached files, and click OK.
  3. Select OK.
