Meet the team

This cross-functional team will pull their strengths together to ensure that the right designs are pursued. These designs must satisfy the needs of the customer and provide consistent manufacturing conditions within the control limits established in this project.

Rebecca, a product development engineer, is the project lead for the ErgoLine project. Rebecca has a very aggressive time line for this project. As the project lead and the development engineer, she has to think beyond how the development department measures success. In the past, she would have considered development efforts successful once manufacturing owned the new designs. She would have provided preliminary process settings and moved on to another project. A shift in ideology has occurred at Power Renovations on how to measure project success. Now Rebecca's efforts are only considered successful if the project as a whole reaches set targets. For example, if manufacturing cannot produce the product at an acceptable scrap rate, then the project is not successful as a whole.

By creating a cross-functional team, Rebecca will be able to reach the objectives of the ErgoLine project. Her team consists of team members that span across manufacturing, development, and marketing. Meet Rebecca's team.
