Templates are the starting points for new places and provide the initial
pages and components you see when you enter a place. With just a few clicks
of a button, you can create a place of your own by selecting a template. From
your first impression of templates, you may think that templates are just
static blue prints for the places you create. As you explore templates further,
you will learn that templates can grow and change just like your teams and
projects.
You can create a template from an existing template. Simply click Work
with Templates on the Lotus Quickr Home
page and then click New to see how easy it is to create
a template from scratch.
Value
for your team - Tips for an effective team
- Save your team time and provide consistency to places that have specific
meanings. For example, you could create a new template with a library focus
for audited documents that need a specific format or approval workflow. By
creating a new library with an audit focus, team members do not have to worry
about not meeting specific team or industry standards.
- Create new categories to organize these templates when you create templates.
Categories don't just organize your templates in Work with Templates.
Categories also help team members browse through available templates when
creating a place. Rather than seeing all of the available templates on one
page, team members can see available templates displayed on different tabbed
pages segregated by the categories you and others create. This segregation
is helpful if you want to break templates up by department, team, or focus
area.
- Change
the layout of pages, components, and more in Work
with Templates. You must be an administrator to access Work
with Templates.
