Lotus Quickr, Version 8.0
Services for Lotus Domino

Editing Welcome and Instructions content

Welcome is the first content visitors see when they enter a place or room for the first time and will always be available under the Announcements tab. If you have manager access, you can edit this document to include information on your business venture or project, rename the document, or delete it altogether.

If you customized your place by, for example, removing certain folders and adding others, you might want to edit the Welcome content accordingly.

You can also edit, rename, or delete Instructions IBM® Lotus® Quickr creates for you when you create a room. Instructions are the first content visitors see when they enter a room in a place.

Note: If you delete Welcome or Instructions, visitors see the first item in the table of contents when they enter the place or room. If the first item is a document, visitors see the contents of that document. If the first item is a folder, visitors see the contents of the folder. If the first item is a room, Lotus Quickr looks for the first item or folder below the room and displays that content or folder to the visitor.

To edit Welcome or Instructions content:

  1. Enter the top-level room of the place for the Welcome or, enter the room that contains the Instructions you want to edit and click Edit.
  2. Edit the title and/or the contents as needed.
  3. Click Save as Draft if you are not finished with your edits, Create if your editing is complete, or Create with options if you want to change publication options. Clicking Cancel removes your changes.
  4. If you clicked Create with options in the previous step, choose one or more publication options and then click Next. Supply all necessary information then click Done.
